Screw Conveyor

A screw conveyor, also known as an auger conveyor, is a mechanism that uses a rotating helical screw blade, called an auger, within a tube or trough to move bulk materials. The basic working principle of a screw conveyor is that the rotation of the helical screw blade pushes the material along the trough or tube. The screw rotates inside a stationary casing, and as it turns, the material is carried forward in a continuous flow, similar to how a corkscrew moves a cork out of a bottle.

1.Powdery materials                                                                                                                              

Cement: In the construction and cement manufacturing industries, screw conveyors are commonly used to move cement powder from storage areas to concrete batching plants or other processing equipment. The conveyor can handle the fine, dusty nature of cement effectively.                             

2.Granular materials                                                                                                                            

Plastic pellets: In the plastics industry, screw conveyors are used to transport plastic pellets from storage hoppers to injection - molding machines or extrusion equipment. The conveyors can handle the small, spherical pellets smoothly.   

3.Small - sized solid materials                                                                                                              

Recycled materials: For recycling operations, screw conveyors can handle small - sized recyclables like shredded paper, plastic fragments, and metal shavings, moving them through different stages of the recycling process.
